SBLI Cuts Some Term Prices

NU Online News Service, Jan. 26, 2004, 12:55 p.m. EST – SBLI USA Mutual Life Insurance Company Inc., New York, has cut the prices for some of its term life policies.[@@]

SBLI lowered prices for 10-year-, 15-year and 20-year underwritten term policies Jan. 19, the company says. The company also has added more generous underwriting criteria for factors such as cholesterol levels and past tobacco use.

In New York state, the maximum issue age has increased to age 70 for the 10-year policy, age 65 for the 15-year policy and age 60 for the 20-year policy.
