NU Online News Service, Sept. 24, 2003, 4:35 p.m. EDT – John Hancock Life Insurance Company, Boston, has added sales support services for variable annuities to its eHansel system.

Hancock has been developing eHansel, a Web-based sales support system, in an effort to replace an older, disk-based system. Hancock started by putting life insurance sales support on eHansel and then added support for long term care insurance in March.

Hancock hopes to add support for sales of fixed annuities in 2004, the company says.

Hancock is a unit of John Hancock Financial Services Inc., Boston.
