NU Online News Service, April 22, 2003, 10:43 a.m. EDT – U.S. Financial Life Insurance Company, Cincinnati, is using the Whitehill (xml) Transport software from Whitehill Technologies Inc., Moncton, New Brunswick, to convert commission data generated by its old computers into the ACORD XMLife format.

U.S. Financial is converting the data so that its newer computer systems can process it, Whitehill says.

The Association for Cooperative Operations Research and Development, Pearl River, N.Y., developed the XMLife format to help create a kind of universal translation system for life insurance data.

U.S. Financial is a unit of The MONY Group Inc., New York.
