Mark C. Tibergien, the nation’s leading authority on

financial planning practice management, has joined Investment Advisor

magazine as a monthly columnist. His first column, entitled “Formulas for

Success,” will appear in IA‘s February 2003 issue.

A principal and member of the Executive Committee at Seattle-based Moss

Adams L.L.P., the tenth-largest accounting firm in the U.S., Tibergien has

been working since 1973 with public and private companies on matters related

to business valuation, financial management, compensation, succession

planning, and strategy formulation. His particular expertise is in

consulting with broker/dealers, financial advisors, investment managers, and

other financial services organizations. For the last four years,

Accounting Today has recognized Tibergien among its “100 Most

Influential People” in the accounting profession, as well as “One of the 10

People to Know in Financial Planning.”

A member of the Financial Planning Association, Tibergien is also the

author of the FPA’s authoritative annual Financial Performance Study of

Financial Advisory Practices. He is, in addition, a nationally known

advisor, speaker, and workshop leader for banks, business groups, CPAs,

financial planners, and other professional organizations.

“We are delighted that Mark has chosen to become a member of the

Investment Advisor team,” said IA Editorial Director William

Glasgall. “His unique perspective on practice management will be an enormous

asset for our readers at a time when more and more consumers are turning to

advisors for help with their financial affairs. Through his research,

Tibergien knows what makes a planning practice successful. His column will

share that knowledge with IA‘s readers.”

With a nationwide circulation of 68,000, Investment Advisor is the

leading monthly magazine for independent–and independent-minded–financial

planning professionals. It is a member of the Investment Advisor Group,

which also includes Investmentadvisor.com, several Investment

Advisor e-newsletters, Investment Advisor Press, and the

Investment Advisor Wealth Advisor Summit conferences. The Investment

Advisor Group is a subsidiary of Wicks Business Information, L.L.C.
