SAFECO Sets Up Term Life Sales System

NU Online News Service, Nov. 27, 12:03 p.m. – SAFECO Corp., Redmond, Wash., says its SAFECO Life Insurance Company unit has added features to its agent Web site that enable property-casualty insurance agents and other independent financial advisors to complete sales of term life coverage online.

Agents can now get quotes, submit applications and bind coverage online, SAFECO says.

When customers pay SAFECO by electronic funds transfer, credit card or check, agents can print certificates of temporary insurance.
