NU Online News Service, Nov. 7, 2002, 11:55 a.m. – The Hartford Financial Services Group, Inc., Simsbury, Conn., says it is making electronic images of life insurance applications available to its representatives right on their computer screens to improve customer service.

The company is using document-imaging technology to enable customer service reps to save time, improve accuracy and reduce costs, says Ann Kelly Jones, assistant vice president and director of new business for the Hartford’s individual life operations. The Hartford’s life insurance policies are issued by Hartford Life Insurance Co. and Hartford Life and Annuity Insurance Co.

“Our reps often get questions about applications, so having immediate access to the information is an important enhancement for both applicants and the financial professionals who serve them,” says Jones.
