NU Online News Service, Sept. 26, 11:53 a.m. – Reinsurance Group of America Inc., St. Louis, says it has received permission from the Reserve Bank of India to open a liaison office in Mumbai, India.
RGA, a life reinsurer partly owned by MetLife Inc., New York, will use the office to sell life reinsurance arrangements in India. RGA will continue to handle Indian life reinsurance underwriting, actuarial and claims activities from the RGA office in South Africa.
