NU Online News Service, Sept. 16, 12: 52 p.m. – Standard Life Canada, Montreal, has added extra beneficiary support services to the Participant’s Life Insurance products from its group life unit.
The company will now offer free psychological, financial and legal counseling to beneficiaries for up to 12 months after they receive benefits as the result of an employee’s death.
Standard Life will use an employee assistance firm to administer the new support services.
Standard Life is a unit of the Standard Life Assurance Company, Edinburgh.
