SAP To Upgrade MySAP Insurance

NU Online News Service, Aug. 22, 11:46 a.m. – SAP A.G., Walldorf, Germany, says it is working with msg systems A.G., Berlin, a technology consulting firm, to build new financial services policy management features into its mySAP Insurance software system.

The existing mySAP system can handle claims, commissions, collections, disbursements, data storage and other functions. The new features will include better policy management tools and libraries of components that customers can use to add new products to their systems, SAP says.

SAP has designed the system to handle several languages and many currencies, and it can provide international support through an international service network, SAP says.

SAP will start by introducing the mySAP upgrade in Germany, Austria and Switzerland in late 2003, the company says.
