NU Online News Service, Aug. 2, 1:50 p.m. – Page & Associates, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., says it will let life insurance agents who work with its Lifeline life settlement program decide whether to take a full commission, or to accept a reduced commission and let clients have the difference.

The Page Lifeline program buys the right to collect life insurance policy death benefits from insureds who are elderly or terminally ill.

Agents can get base commissions ranging from 3% to 10% of the face amount of the policies when they refer life settlement clients to Page.

The commission policy will give agents the ability to choose between maximizing profits and maximizing policyholders’ settlements, Page says.
