July 15, 2002 — John Hancock Funds said Thomas Finucane, who helped manage three of its sector funds, has left the company.
Finucane’s duties have been assumed by the remaining members of the teams that oversee the J Hancock Financial Industries Fund/A (FIDAX), the J Hancock Real Estate Fund/A (JREAX) and the J Hancock Regional Bank Fund/A (FRBAX), a Hancock spokeswoman said.
The fund complex has not decided whether or not to hire a money manager to replace Finucane, the spokeswoman, Jessica Cowan, said. She declined to comment on Finucane’s future plans.
