Benefits Producer Group Attracts 16 Firms

NU Online News Service, July 9, 2:23 p.m. – United Benefit Advisors, Indianapolis, a producer group for independent benefit advisory firms, has attracted 16 new charter member firms, bringing the total to 31.

Organizers of the group, which is modeled after similar producer groups in the life insurance and property-casualty insurance markets, say they hope to represent 150 midsize benefit firms.

The new member firms are Benepro Inc., Royal Oak, Mich.; Bert Reames Insurance Services, Daytona Beach, Fla.; Cowden & Associates, Pittsburgh; EBS Insurance Brokers Inc., Newton, Mass.; Gables Financial Group Inc., Coral Gables, Fla.; Horizon Agency Inc., Minneapolis; Human Capital, San Juan, Puerto Rico; Independent Benefit Services, Rockville, Md.; McDermott & Thomas Associates, Staten Island, N.Y.; Roller Consulting Company Inc., Conshohocken, Pa.; Russ Blakely & Associates, Chattanooga, Tenn.; The Benefits Solution Group, Baton Rouge, La.; The Lake Group, New York; The Teare Group Inc., Winchester, N.J.; Tower Benefit Consultants, Chesapeake, Va.; and TrueNorth Companies, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
