Hancock Opens Web Site To Large Cases

NU Online News Service, April 9, 11:40 a.m. – John Hancock Financial Services Inc., Boston, is expanding access to its eGroup group life Web site.

Producers can use the site to negotiate prices and plan designs directly with Hancock’s group life underwriters.

When Hancock set up the site a year ago, it limited access to benefits brokers serving midsize employers, but the company says it will now open the site to benefits consultants serving large employers.

Hancock has also redesigned the site, to give brokers and consultants the ability to submit proposals directly to the underwriters through the Web. Producers can also submit proposals through facsimile transmissions and ordinary mail.
