Hartford Life To Sell Group Annuity Through Edward Jones Reps

NU Online News Service, Oct. 22, 4:18 p.m. – Hartford Life Insurance Company, Simsbury, Conn., will be selling a new group annuity contract, the Hartford 401 Cornerstone product, through investment representatives affiliated with Edward Jones, St. Louis.

The contract is designed for members of 401(k) plans and other defined contribution retirement plans at businesses with fewer than 500 employees.

The contract offers plan members a choice of a fixed account and 43 variable funds managed by eight different investment companies.

Hartford Life will provide enrollment support and educational materials for the Edward Jones reps who sell the contracts, Hartford Life says.

Hartford Life is a subsidiary of The Hartford Financial Services Group Inc.
