NU Online News Service, June 13, 4:30 p.m. – AXA Group, Paris, says its chairmen, Claude Bebear and Henri de Castries, have testified for the French Brigade Financiere, the French financial regulatory body, in connection with allegations of tax evasion at a subisidiary, PanEuroLife.

AXA, a giant global financial services company, acquired PanEuroLife in 1997.

UAP, Luxembourg, founded PanEuroLife in 1990.
