Commonwealth Financial Network announced Tuesday that it will tap Wealth.com’s estate planning platform to help its advisors attract and retain high-net-worth clients through more specialized and scalable estate planning services.
“We continually seek innovative solutions that help our advisors get time back in their day while also becoming strategic partners for their clients, including high-net-worth clients,” said Heather Zack, director of high-net-worth services at Commonwealth, in a statement. “Wealth.com simplifies estate planning nuances with a modern, tech-enabled approach.”
Wealth.com’s platform includes tools such as Ester, an AI-powered legal assistant that automates document review and generates client-ready summaries. Other capabilities allow advisors to eliminate manual data entry and ensure real-time synchronization of financial data across planning platforms. For Commonwealth advisors, Zack said, these innovations can translate into time savings, deeper planning insights and the ability to deliver more personalized estate guidance.
The partnership news comes as Commonwealth is navigating the early stages of its acquisition by LPL Financial. LPL, for its part, recently tapped eMoney’s technology to launch a financial planning tool dubbed WealthVision Essentials, designed to enhance advisors’ services across both the independent and institutional channels — including in the estate planning domain.
“We’re honored to be named Commonwealth’s estate planning partner,” said Tim White, co-founder and chief growth officer of Wealth.com. “This partnership reflects not only the strength of our platform, but also the shift taking place across the industry. Scalable, modern estate planning solutions are in demand, and Commonwealth is enabling their advisors to meet the evolving needs of their clients.”
Other firms to recently tap Wealth.com’s services include Cetera, Independent Advisor Alliance and Merit Financial Advisors. Wealth.com has also brought on a number of wealth management industry executives to lead its expansion in the space, including David Haughton, formerly the head of advanced planning at Commonwealth.
