Bob Swan was named CFO and senior vice president of finance of eBay Inc., a $4.5 billion online auction service provider based in San Jose, Calif. He succeeds Rajiv Dutta, who was named president of Skype, an online voice communications unit of eBay. Swan, 45, most recently was CFO and executive vice president of Electronic Data Systems Corp. (EDS). Prior to joining EDS, Swan worked at TRW Inc., where he served as CFO and executive vice president. Swan started his career at General Electric Co., where he held various positions from 1985 to 1999, including CFO of GE Transportation Systems and GE Medical Systems' Europe division.
