It's been said that advisors like scripts, and not because they can't think for themselves. It means they like to see short statements that make a point.

This brings to mind the Miranda warning: "You have the right to an attorney. If you cannot afford an attorney, one will be provided for you." These short scripts are like the appointed public defender: It's the default choice.

Many advisors might look at the script and say, "I get the point, but I could do a much better job using my own words."
