A trio of Atlanta-based financial advisors who previously managed $2.6 billion in collective assets has launched a new registered investment advisor on the Dynasty Financial Partners platform, dubbed Anchyra Partners.
Robert Durham, Zack Cloud and Brian Gately say they founded Anchyra to combine institutional investment expertise with state-of-the-art technology and infrastructure.
Durham was previously a managing director and regional director at Stephens Inc. He will serve as Anchyra CEO and lead the firm’s recruiting and acquisition strategy. Cloud and Gately were vice presidents at Goldman Sachs.
“We’ve engineered Anchyra to support elite advisors who want to build something to last,” Durham said in a statement. “We’re focused on creating an environment where experienced professionals can grow their businesses, contribute as partners, and deliver the kind of service sophisticated clients demand.”
As Durham explained, the plan is to grow Anchyra by acquiring independent advisory firms and partnering with like-minded advisors seeking to leave captive environments in select U.S. markets. They will focus on acquiring practices with “strong client relationships, strong books of business, and a desire for equity alignment.”
As part of this expansion strategy, Anchyra will rely on Dynasty for core infrastructure, transition support and long-term strategic guidance.
“In doing our due diligence, we realized that the independent wealth space was best for our clients,” Durham added. “The technology and investment opportunities — including more complex investments and private market plays — available to independents today delivers a client experience that is almost second to none.”
