Larry Restieri has officially taken over as the firm’s chief executive, Hightower announced Monday.
Restieri takes the reins from Bob Oros, who held the role since 2019 and revealed his intentions to step down in February. Oros remains a member of the board of directors.
“Hightower is positioned for transformational growth,” Restieri said in a statement. “We have a tremendous community of advisors, and I’m committed to working with our talented advisory practices to win together as a team.”
Before moving to Hightower, Restieri was most recently a partner at Goldman Sachs and CEO of its Ayco business. During his two-decade tenure at Goldman, he played a direct role in modernizing the firm’s businesses and driving growth in a variety of leadership roles across wealth and asset management.
“I’ve watched the firm over the past six and a half years thrive even in the face of economic uncertainty and market volatility,” Oros said. “We have built an incredible community of advisors and strong set of capabilities to support them. I’m confident that Larry is going to lead Hightower towards more success, while maintaining and protecting the solid core of the firm and its values.”
Hightower now supports 144 advisory practices in 34 states and the District of Columbia. As of March 31, assets under management for Hightower and its affiliates were approximately $308 billion.
