So far, so good. It looks like 2024 will enter the books as a good year for the stock market.
Although we consider Dec. 31 as the end of one year and Jan. 1 as the start of another, the markets view this as a continuous flow. What could possibly go wrong?
While you don’t want to scare your clients, you do want them to look to the future with both eyes open. You want them to see clearly, without rose-colored glasses. Clients should not assume that the stock market will go up forever; rather, they should start to think about reasons that will be given in hindsight for when it changes direction.
