SMART Business Advisory and Consulting L.L.C. has assumed the clients and support staff personnel of the insurance consulting services unit at Aon Corp.
SMART, Devon, Pa., a business consulting firm, says it is getting the life actuarial unit's offices in Avon, Conn., along with a number of staffers.
In February, SMART announced that it had hired 3 life actuaries – Christian DesRochers, Michael LeBoeuf and Brian King – from the unit.
Great Hill Partners L.L.C., Boston, helped finance the transaction, SMART says.
