Employer health plans may see 2007 premium increases fall to the lowest level in 7 years.
The projected 2007 rate increase for health maintenance organization plans has fallen to 9.7%, from 10.6% in 2006, according to Milliman Inc., Seattle.
The projected average renewal rate increase for preferred provider organization plans has fallen to 10.7%, from about 11.7%.
But experts note that the increases in health coverage rates continue to be much greater than the general rate of inflation.
