Mercer Global Advisors has appointed Abby Salameh and Chris Walters as managing partners and leaders of the New Jersey/Philadelphia and San Diego markets, respectively. They join the firm's existing cohort of about 20 managing partners leading Mercer's teams in more than 40 key markets.

"Abby and Chris are incredible industry leaders who have served in senior roles at some of the most respected firms in our industry," according to Daniel Gourvitch, Mercer's president. "Their decision to join Mercer Advisors reflects the strength of our partnership — and our deep commitment to investing in empowered local teams to build a foremost family office in every market."

Salameh was RFG Advisory's chief growth officer from March 2024 to December 2025. She began her career as an advisor and has also worked in C-level roles at Hightower Advisors and CAIS.

"This is an incredible opportunity to build and lead at a preeminent fiduciary firm in a community that I care so much about, and to do it as part of a deeply collaborative leadership team," Salameh said in a statement.

Walters has over 30 years of leadership experience in wealth management, including five years as Savant Wealth Management's chief advisory officer. In 2012, he founded Lighthouse Wealth Advisory Group, a consultancy that supports wealth management firms and private equity sponsors in their growth and integration efforts.

"Joining Mercer Advisors in this role is an opportunity to join an incredible team in San Diego, accelerate our local impact and deliver institutional-grade capabilities to our community," Walters said. "The team in San Diego has already established a tremendous local reputation for client excellence and dynamic growth, and I look forward to furthering our impact on local families."

Denver-based Mercer is majority owned by Oak Hill Capital, Genstar Capital and Altas Partners. It has more than 1,500 employees, 110 locations, $96 billion in client assets and some 40,000 clients.

Last week, the firm hired Lindsay O'Toole as senior vice president of investment platform operations. The move follows O'Toole's nearly 18-year tenure at LPL Financial, where she most recently was SVP of trading and led investment operations for 30,000 advisors.
