Orion, the wealth management technology provider, has announced enhanced integrations with Schwab Advisor Services, through which beneficiary information will now flow automatically from clients’ account profiles on the Schwab Advisor Center into Orion platforms.
Reed Colley, president of Orion Advisor Technology, said in a statement that the enhancement is about removing friction and eliminating the need for extensive manual data entry.
“Advisors told us that maintaining client beneficiary data in Orion is a pain point, and we’re acting on that feedback,” Colley said. “By automating beneficiary updates through our deeper integration with Schwab, we’re stripping away complexity so advisors can operate with greater clarity and focus.”
Advisors can establish the connection in Orion with just a few clicks, Colley noted, and beneficiary information from Schwab is automatically imported via once-daily refreshes that help to reduce errors and save time. Likewise, ongoing synchronization ensures that Orion platforms reflect the latest beneficiary information entered by a client.
“This latest integration is a great example of how we work closely with Orion to drive efficiency and improve data quality for the advisors we serve together, in turn helping them better serve their end clients,” observed Alison Dooher, head of digital advisor solutions for Schwab Advisor Services.
This integration is now live and documented in Orion’s help center. The beneficiary integration is available to Orion Advisor Technology and Orion Portfolio Solutions advisors who custody with Schwab and can be leveraged inside multiple Orion platforms.
