Katelyn Shackleton, Mercer Global Advisors
Mercer Global Advisors has hired Katelyn Shackleton, a former LPL Financial executive, as an executive managing director of new partner success, tasked with leading integration and accelerated growth of newly acquired partner firms.
Moving forward, the company’s longstanding partner integration team, led by Rick Weyers, will report to Shackleton.
Daniel Gourvitch, president of Mercer Global Advisors, said that Shackleton’s hiring reinforced the company’s commitment to investing in the success of its partners who join through acquisition. He noted that Mercer is enjoying a record year for its inorganic growth strategy, and Shackleton’s appointment will help ensure that the acquired firms find continuing success.
“Kate brings a remarkable track record of driving strategic growth and fostering innovation in wealth management,” Gourvitch said in a statement.
He noted that the firm views each new partnership as a promise to deliver elevated outcomes to new clients and colleagues.
“We are incredibly excited to have a leader of Kate’s caliber and track record who will collaborate closely with each new firm to fully deliver on that promise,” Gourvitch added.
Shackleton worked in various capacities at LPL Financial, including as an executive vice president of corporate strategy and new ventures. In her most recent role at LPL, she worked with its most complex clients and their advisors to deliver multi-generational trust and wealth management solutions.
Before LPL, Shackleton held leadership positions at Wells Fargo, Morgan Stanley and J.P. Morgan Private Bank.
“Mercer Advisors’ commitment to delivering an elevated client experience that is geared to the best interest of the client aligns perfectly with my values and my own financial journey,” Shackleton said. “Joining not just as an employee, but also as a client and shareholder, reflects my belief that Mercer Advisors is leading the way as a fiduciary and represents the type of firm I wanted to join.”
