RBC Wealth Management has recruited an ex-UBS advisory team to staff up its newly launched branch in Westchester, New York.
The eight-member Hudson River Wealth Management team supported nearly $1.7 billion in client assets while at UBS, according to the announcement, and it is led by managing directors Steven Solomon and Lauren Konstantin.
Additional team members include financial advisors Kevin Bertoncin and Roger Matles, alongside associate support staffers Leonard Solomon, Izabella Wszolek, Peggy Athanasatos and Elena Tashlitsky.
RBC Wealth Management opened the Westchester branch in late June with a focus on ultra-high-net worth clients, expanding the firm’s existing presence in communities directly north of New York City.
“RBC Wealth Management is actively attracting teams who serve the ultra-high-net worth marketplace, and we are excited about the continued growth in the region,” said John Moran, RBC’s New York metro area complex director, in a statement. “The Hudson River Wealth Management group is an elite team of advisors who have researched the industry and concluded that RBC Wealth Management is the most suitable firm to serve their clients and grow their practice.”
The addition of the “sophisticated Hudson River team” reinforces RBC Wealth Management’s growing ultra-high-net-worth business, Moran added, noting that the UHNW space represents one of the firm’s fastest-growing client segments.
