Vanguard has released a new advisor tool that utilizes generative artificial intelligence capabilities to more efficiently create personalized content for client communications.
The tool produces customizable synopses of Vanguard’s top-read market perspectives tailored by financial acumen, investing life stage and tone. It also generates the necessary disclosures to accompany the article summaries, according to the announcement, boosting advisors' ability to quickly and compliantly share useful insights.
“The best advisors can get even better with AI in their client toolkit, and Vanguard’s client-ready article summaries help advisors drive personalized and actionable conversations that enhance client relationships over the long-term,” said Sid Ratna, head of digital and analytics for Vanguard Financial Advisor Services, in a statement.
Lauren Wilkinson, head of advisor technology, added that the launch of the new AI tool is consistent with the firm’s commitment to utilize emerging and innovative technology to support advisors. The capability is being beta tested, she noted, with plans to expand the technology across use cases for advisors and their clients.
"Consistent with our mission, Vanguard takes a client-first approach to exploring and innovating with emerging technology,” Wilkinson said. “We are excited to continue to bring to market technology that improves access to our unique products, services, and insights, and delivers hyper-personalized experiences that position our investors to accomplish their goals."
Vanguard is separately experimenting with other advanced technologies, according to the announcement, including spatial and quantum computing and blockchain, to improve investment outcomes and deliver personalized client experiences.
