Edward Jones is adding alternative investments and advanced financial planning for eligible wealthy clients effective May 5.

The firm said the expansion of Edward Jones Generations, its first private client service for U.S. high-net-worth investors, underscored its commitment to providing sophisticated financial products and personalized experiences for clients with $10 million or more in investable assets.

Eligible clients will have access to private equity, private credit and private real estate investments through the CAIS alternatives investments platform, Edward Jones said. These vehicles will be delivered through the Edward Jones Advisory Solutions Unified Managed Account program, part of the firm's advisory fee-based offerings.

While the program initially will be exclusive to Edward Jones Generations clients, the firm said it plans to expand the range of alternative investment options and client reach over time.

"Edward Jones is committed to helping our clients achieve their financial goals, and we are always looking to expand our products, solutions and experiences designed to help make these goals a reality," Russ Tipper, principal and products head at Edward Jones, said Tuesday.

"We believe alternative investments represent an opportunity for our high net worth clients to diversify their portfolios," he added.

Edward Jones entered into a relationship with CAIS, an alternative investment technology platform for financial advisors, to expand access for its clients.

Edward Jones Generations also will start offering ongoing advanced financial planning designed to meet high-net-worth clients' needs with a dedicated team of planning, estate, tax and other strategists.
