LPL Financial has hired a former JPMorgan Chase technology solutions leader, Vaughn Harvey, as its new chief data and artificial intelligence officer and executive vice president, to lead data and AI initiatives.
Harvey's 25-plus years of experience in AI-oriented digital transformations and enterprise-wide data strategies include, most recently, his roughly two-year stint as managing director and head of product and transformation for consumer and community bank finance at JPMorgan Chase.
Before that position, which he left in November, Harvey held senior analytical roles at Morgan Stanley, PwC and Jefferies, and also worked at JPMorgan from 2012 to 2016 in data and analytics positions, per his LinkedIn profile.
“Vaughn’s extensive experience and proven track record in leveraging AI and data to drive business outcomes make him the perfect fit for LPL as we continue to scale our offering and leadership in this space,” Gary Carrai, chief product officer of LPL, said Tuesday. “We look forward to the significant contributions he will bring to our advisors who are looking to AI to streamline and grow their practices in a meaningful way.”
“Joining LPL Financial is a unique opportunity to lead the next wave of innovation in wealth management,” Harvey said.
In the 2024 fourth quarter, LPL launched AI Advisor Solutions, a program to help advisors deliver customized client experiences and harness data to provide more sophisticated and personalized financial advice, the firm said. LPL also said its AI Accelerator program supports the firm’s goal to incorporate and deliver AI solutions for advisors’ businesses.
