Kestra Financial has announced that John Amore, its head of wealth management, will assume the role of company president, taking over from the retiring Stephen Langlois in April.

Langlois is set to retire at the end of 2025. He will remain on staff as a senior advisor through the end of the year to help ensure a smooth leadership transition.

In a statement, Langlois said the news represents the end of a personal chapter in his career and the beginning of an exciting new phase for Kestra.

“I could not be more honored to pass the torch to my colleague and friend, John Amore,” Langolis said. “The care and dedication to excellence John and his wealth management group have shown over the last five years is truly remarkable, and I know he’ll bring the same care to his new position.”

Langolis added that Amore brings a distinctive mix of expertise to his role and an ability to collaborate with advisors while also managing platforms.

As president, Amore will continue to focus on enabling financial professionals to exceed client expectations by taking advantage of their partnership with Kestra Financial and the rest of the Kestra Holdings ecosystem, including Kestra Investment Management, Arden Trust, Bluespring Wealth Partners and Kestra Insurance Planning.

“As we navigate this transition, our community of advisors can expect the same level of empowerment they’ve come to know with Stephen at the helm,” Amore said. “I’m eager for the opportunity to build on Stephen’s great leadership, continuing to support the needs of our advisors along with their ability to operate as complete wealth managers.”

Amore has led wealth management teams for more than 19 years in the United States, Europe and Latin America. Before joining Kestra Financial, he led global businesses at UBS across a variety of wealth management channels. He began his career in management consulting in the financial services sector.

Langlois earlier held senior positions at several wealth management firms, including eMoney Advisor, Fidelity Investments and LPL Financial.

Kestra oversees $103 billion in assets under advisement and supports more than 1,700 independent financial professionals.
