Business is one of the top majors that college students sign up for, according to The Princeton Review, an education services company.

Those who study business receive a good grounding in the theories and principles of accounting, finance, marketing, economics, statistics and human resources functions. They are encouraged to think about ethics, diversity, politics and other dynamics that are part of every work environment.

A business major also prepares graduates for a variety of potentially lucrative career tracks and is an entry point for those who want to pursue an MBA degree program.

Payscale's College Salary Report for 2024 includes the best paying jobs for business majors. The ranking is based on a compilation of salary data of alumni of 1,702 bachelor's degree-granting schools in the United States, and 1,570 associate degree-granting schools.

See the accompanying gallery for the 20 best-paying jobs for college business majors. The data points include mid-career compensation for each job and the percentage of respondents who say their work makes the world a better place.
