Here's some luxury market news for your high-net-worth clients who like to travel: The Michelin Guide, famous for its star ratings for restaurants, last week revealed a new rating system for ultra-luxurious hotels worldwide: Michelin keys. Hotels in California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, New York and the District of Columbia were eligible for the distinction in the U.S. The keys are analogous to the guide's one- to three- star ratings for restaurants. Hotels can rate one of the following:
- One key: a very special stay
- Two keys: an exceptional stay
- Three keys: an extraordinary stay
