The Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards said Tuesday that the registration deadline for March exams is Feb. 22.
The exams will be administered March 8-15, 2022. Early registration is available through Jan. 19, 2022.
The March 2022 exam will reflect an updated list of principal knowledge topics, including a new principal knowledge domain, Psychology of Financial Planning, the CFP Board said.
The CFP Board has compiled a variety of exam prep resources to help candidates better understand how the March 2022 exam will differ from previous exams.
These include:
- A side-by-side comparison of the 2021 and 2015 principal knowledge topics, highlighting the specific updates to the topic list for the March 2022 exam.
- Updated CFP Certification Learning Objectives, outlining the learning objectives that should be covered under each principal knowledge topic.
- Frequently Asked Questions, which includes a section for March 2022 candidates.
The CFP exam is offered three times per year: March, July and November.
CFP Board CEO Kevin Keller said Tuesday in a tweet that for the November exam, "3,570 individuals sat for the exam with 8% testing remotely. The pass rate was 58%. Congrats to all the new #CFP professionals."
