The Administration for Community Living (ACL) has organized a free webinar on a terrifying source of long-term care risk: younger onset Alzheimer's disease.
Younger onset Alzheimer's disease affects people ages 65 and younger, and it can affect people in their 30s, ACL officials note in the webinar announcement.
ACL will start the one-hour webinar at 2 p.m. Eastern time Oct. 29.
Susan Frick, a social worker at Rush Alzheimer's Disease Center in Chicago, has been running the center's Without Warning support program since 2004. The program serves families facing younger onset Alzheimer's disease.
Frick will talk about what she has learned about people with younger onset Alzheimer's and their families over the past 15 years.
