SMA Manager of the Year Dave Dalrymple on Small-Cap Value

Chartwell Investment Partners' Dave Dalrymple says "we've made our money from stock picking, not sector rotation."

It's not easy finding opportunities in the small-cap value space, but Chartwell Investment Partners' Small-Cap Value strategy, a 2015 SMA Manager of the Year, has returned 3.9% above the Russell 2000 Value Index over the past eight years.

In this video, David Dalrymple, senior portfolio manager for the SMA, explains how Chartwell's portfolio-building process is "more art than science."
