In an effort to "avert disaster," the GOP-led effort to defund the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act by refusing to sign a spending bill unless PPACA funding is removed, is picking up steam. Sixty-six House Republicans — more than one-quarter of the conference — have joined the effort as of now. The stage is set for an ugly September and a bumpy October for PPACA.
