Are we losing our collective conscience in the tricky language that compartmentalizes abortion to certain time frames within the pregnancy? Although we live in a world of seemingly arbitrary dates that tell us when we can drive, drink, fight a war and live on our own, it is difficult to articulate what the difference is between aborting a baby at 23 weeks or right before birth, even for seasoned pro-choice politicians.
