The unemployment rate held pretty much steady from May. There was a slight uptick from 7.5 percent to 7.6 percent. The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today that employment rose in business services, food services, drinking establishments and retail, hinting to many analysts that people are starting to spend more freely which in turn, should lower unemployment.
