Google exec Schmidt joins private group’s visit to North Korea

Eric Schmidt, Google's executive chairman will join former New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson on a private delegation to North Korea. The U.S. State Department has called the excursion "unhelpful" and advised the delegation not to go. Richardson hopes to tour universities while meeting with political and economic leaders and perhaps beginning the process of securing the release of a South Korean-born U.S. citizen while Schmidt said that he was interested in the "social media aspect" of the country.
