Long-Term Care Uncertainty is a Growing Issue (L.A. Times)

For Americans 65 and older, the cost of long-term care is one of the biggest financial uncertainties they're facing. Many seniors receive a shock upon finding out that Medicare won't cover their nursing home bills. Some are applying for Medicaid to get help, and advocacy organizations are now working with seniors and lawyers to find ways to help struggling seniors qualify, like giving away their money to relatives.
