The National Underwriter Company has released the The Advisor's Guide to Long-Term Care, a book aimed at advisors who are directly involved in advising clients or colleagues on long-term care (LTC) planning issues.
The author, Jeff Sadler, CLTC, CSA, is the chair of the Long-Term Care Advisory Group at the National Association of Health Underwriters, Washington.
Sadler, who co-founded Sadler Disability Services Inc., Riverview, Fla., in 1989, has been helping clients and financial advisors address LTC planning issues for more than 20 years.
His book covers topics such as the state LTC partnership programs, which coordinate private long-term care insurance (LTCI) benefits with Medicaid nursing home benefits; the effects of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care of 2010 (PPACA) on LTC planning and LTCI; and strategies agents, brokers and other producers can use to sell LTCI coverage and other LTC products and services to individuals and employers.
National Underwriter is a unit of Summit Business Media, which is also the parent of the LifeHealthPro.com website.
The Sadler LTC guide "is written for professionals who actually have to answer clients' questions," according to Rick Kravitz, the head of the professional publishing division at Summit Business Media.
The guide will be an important resource for elder law attorneys, human resources and benefits managers, and accountants as well as to producers and financial advisors, Kravitz says.
Other National Underwriter Company books in the same series cover topics such as qualified plans, group life insurance and real estate investments.
