An arm of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has created a public, online database full of state-level, disability-specific data.
The CDC's Division of Human Development and Disability created the disability data database to help members of the public make better use of the CDC's disability data.
The database includes data on psychological well being and disability-associated health care expenditures as well as the prevalence of various disabling conditions.
The site is now in preview mode, but CDC officials say interested individuals and organizations already can get to the data and make use of it.
All of the data and tools are official and approved, officials say.
