The Interstate Insurance Product Regulation Commission (IIPRC) has signed up two more states and now represents a total of 40 jurisdictions.
Alabama and Nevada are the newest members of the IIPRC, Washington.
The IIPRC, Washington, is a voluntary group that tries to simplify the product filing process for insurers. An insurer can send a single form to the IIPRC rather than having to submit separate forms to dozens of different states.
Alabama became an IIPRC member when Alabama Gov. Robert Bentley signed Alabama House Bill 75.
Insurers can start submitting Alabama filings with the IIPRC June 23.
Nevada became an IIPRC member when Brian Sandoval, the governor of that state, signed Nevada Assembly Bill 23.
Insurers can submit Nevada filings through the IIPRC starting Oct. 1.
