The U.S. House Ways and Means Committee plans to hold a hearing Feb. 10 on the effects of the Affordable Care Act on the Medicare program and Medicare beneficiaries.
The Affordable Care Act is the legislative package that includes the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA).
Witnesses expected to appear at the Medicare PPACA hearing include Dr. Donald Berwick, administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), and Richard Foster, the CMS chief actuary.
