Robert Fishbein is the new chair of the Committee of Annuity Insurers.

The Committee of Annuity Insurers, Washington, is a coalition of 32 of large issuers of U.S. annuity contracts. It helps represent annuity issuers when Congress and federal agencies are dealing with issues relating to annuities.

Fishbein, corporate counsel at Prudential Financial Inc., Newark, N.J. (NYSE:PRU), became vice chair of the committee in March 2010.
