The Catholic Aid Association has officially changed its name to Catholic United Financial.
The company, a fraternal insurer that has operated in St. Paul, Minn., since 1878, says it made the change to increase clarity about the company's purpose.
Catholic United Financial has about 74,000 members in Minnesota, Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin.
