Aflac Inc. is increasing age limits for workers and dependents who can get dental coverage through its voluntary dental plans.
Aflac, Columbus, Ga. (NYSE:AFL), is making employee-paid dependent coverage available for dependents up to age 26.
That change mirrors the effects of the Affordable Care Act – the federal legislative package that includes the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) – on the group health market. In the employer-paid group health market, plans that offer dependent coverage now must offer coverage for dependents up to age 26.
Aflac also has increased the maximum issue age for workers who want coverage to 70, from 65.
