Digital Insurance Inc. is still in the market for health insurance brokers, and it recently completed acquisitions of two firms.
Digital, Atlanta, a privately held firm that sells health coverage to small and midsize employers through the Web, says it has closed on CCA Consulting Inc., Reston, Va., and BCT, Raleigh, N.C.
The owners and staffs of the agencies will stay in their current offices and go to work for Digital, the company says.
Despite the challenges caused by the new federal health care law and shrinking commissions, Digital still wants to acquire agencies owned by agents who have established ties to local business communities, the company says.
