Sam's Club stores are offering members a $99 health screening and coaching program.
The Sam's Club chain, a discount club affiliated with Wal-Mart Stores Inc., Bentonville, Ark., is getting the program from U.S. Preventive Medicine Inc., Jacksonville, Fla.
The package includes an online health assessment, an at-home blood test, and help with creating a personalized health improvement plan.
The chain also is offering in-store blood pressure tests, in-store bone density scans, and other on-site screenings.
Many health insurers and wellness firms offer similar packages to employers that sponsor group health, life and disability plans.
